I grew up as a witness and victim of many social justice issues and the unfairness of societal normalcy that failed to address these. I can speak about these things from my own experience rather than from an intellectual perspective. I am one of you. I know about classism, and I rebel against the idea that putting people in order of importance by judging them on their financial wealth is just and true.
I say to you that this is not the spiritual way to live so why, as spiritual people, do we participate in this? Why do we place the wealthy person’s importance ahead of the importance of the nursing student who cares for the elderly at night? We do this because we harbor want for the material over want for the spiritual.
